Second City was conceived in a tiny room in a Walthamstow attic, by a woman who longed for clean air and open spaces. A writer and filmmaker from West Yorkshire, Sarah spends much of her time being annoyed about London’s air pollution. Most days you’ll find her writing stories stood up on the London Underground, balancing her laptop against anything that isn’t a commuter. Her first feature film, The Subject, is in post-production and due for release next year, when the world has turned a little further.
The story is illustrated by animator Nat Cooper, from a damp basement flat in Brighton. Nat’s artistic output spans from painting, to animation, to film production, and he is lead artist for children’s television show Tee and Mo, which was nominated for a BAFTA in 2016. When not developing the visuals for Second City’s dystopian future, he works on his own projects and is a member of the Plug-In Media team.
